Usually ready in 1 hour
Built for engineers and serious makers who need precision, durability, and thermal stability, RAW3D PA12-CF delivers professional-grade results with confidence.
For best performance, store PA12-CF filament in airtight, undamaged packaging until ready for use, and reseal after opening to minimise moisture absorption.
If the filament is exposed to moisture, dry it in a filament dryer at 80°C for at least 12 hours before printing. When using PA12-CF as its own support material, allow the printed model to cool before removing supports, as removing them too early may cause bonding.
After printing, drying the finished model at 80–100°C for 1–3 hours is recommended to enhance part strength further.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What makes PA12-CF different from PA6-CF?
PA6-CF and PA12-CF are both carbon fibre reinforced nylons, but they are designed for slightly different priorities.
PA6-CF offers higher stiffness and strength, excellent dimensional stability, and greater continuous temperature resistance (up to 180 °C), making it well-suited to rigid, high-load parts.
PA12-CF features lower moisture absorption and reduced shrinkage, resulting in easier printing, better warping resistance, and more stable results without a heated chamber, while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures (up to 150 °C continuous use).
Choosing between them depends on whether maximum stiffness and temperature resistance (PA6-CF) or easier printing and dimensional stability (PA12-CF) is the higher priority for your application.
Does PA12-CF cause nozzle wear?
Yes - PA12-CF contains 15% carbon fibre, which is abrasive and can accelerate wear on standard brass nozzles. For best results and long-term reliability, a hardened steel or abrasion-resistant nozzle is recommended.
Is PA12-CF suitable for high-temperature use?
Yes! It can retain 50% of its mechanical properties during continuous use at temperatures up to 150°C, according to the manufacturer.
Does PA12-CF require a heated chamber?
No - it is suitable for use on 3D printers without a heated chamber.
