Designed for makers and engineers who need rigid, reliable parts under heat and load, RAW3D PA6-CF makes high-performance printing more accessible
For best performance, keep PA6-CF filament sealed in its original, airtight packaging until ready for use, and reseal any partially used filament before storage to prevent moisture absorption.
If the filament absorbs moisture, dry it in a hot-air dryer at 80 °C for at least 12 hours before printing to restore print quality. Also, when using PA6-CF as its own support material, remove supports as soon as the model has cooled, as leaving them longer may cause bonding and make removal difficult.
After printing, drying the finished model at 80–100 °C for 1–3 hours is recommended to improve part strength further.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Does PA6-CF require a heated chamber?
No - it is suitable for use on 3D printers without a heated chamber.
What makes PA6-CF different from standard nylon?
PA6-CF contains 10% carbon fibre, increasing stiffness, strength, and dimensional stability.
Does PA6-CF cause nozzle wear?
Yes - PA6-CF contains 10% carbon fibre, which is abrasive and can accelerate wear on standard brass nozzles. For best results and consistent print quality, a hardened steel or abrasion-resistant nozzle is recommended.
What makes PA6-CF different from PA12-CF?
PA6-CF and PA12-CF are both carbon fibre reinforced nylons, but they are designed for slightly different priorities.
PA6-CF offers higher stiffness and strength, excellent dimensional stability, and greater continuous temperature resistance (up to 180°C), making it well-suited to rigid, high-load parts.
PA12-CF features lower moisture absorption and reduced shrinkage, resulting in easier printing, better warping resistance, and more stable results without a heated chamber, while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures (up to 150°C continuous use).
Choosing between them depends on whether maximum stiffness and temperature resistance (PA6-CF) or easier printing and dimensional stability (PA12-CF) is the higher priority for your application.
