For projects that call for durability and resistance to heat or chemicals, PCTG is a versatile step up from PETG.
To prevent moisture absorption and contamination, keep the filament in its original airtight packaging until ready for use. After opening, any unsued filament should be re-sealed with dessicant before storage. PCTG is sensitive to moisture and should be dried (70°C for ~5 hours) after air exposure for best results. Avoid heat, dust and direct sunlight to prevent degredation.

Frequently Asked
Questions
How is PCTG different from PETG?
PCTG is a thermoplastic copolyester while PETG is a thermoplastic polyester. As a result, PCTG offers excellent heat and chemical resistance and is a great option when your project needs properties beyond what standard PETG can provide.
Is PCTG difficult to print?
PCTG is fairly user-friendly and is best printed using the recommended settings.
Can PCTG be used for food-contact parts?
PCTG is widely used in applications such as food packaging, but this does not automatically mean a particular filament or 3D-printed part is certified for food contact. For production food-contact applications, always confirm the specific material's compliance and consider the effects of additives, printing conditions and post-processing.
