Practical Applications
  • Electronics housings & components
  • Manufacturing jigs and fixtures
  • Automotive & aerospace parts
  • Industrial tooling and functional components
Storage Recommendations

To prevent moisture absorption and contamination, keep the filament in its original airtight packaging until ready for use. After opening, any unsued filament should be re-sealed with dessicant before storage. PETG-ESD is sensitive to moisture and should be dried (70°C for ~5 hours) after air exposure for best results. Avoid heat, dust and direct sunlight to prevent degredation.

Frequently Asked
Questions

What does ESD mean, and what does PETG-ESD do?

ESD stands for electrostatic discharge. PETG-ESD is formulated with carbon nanotubes to provide static dissipative properties, helping to control the buildup and discharge of static electricity.

What is PETG-ESD used for?

PETG-ESD is designed for applications where controlling static electricity is important, including electronics housings, manufacturing jigs and fixtures, automotive and aerospace components, and industrial tooling.

Is PETG-ESD suitable for protecting sensitive electronics?

PETG-ESD is designed for ESD-sensitive applications and can help control static discharge around electronic components. For applications with specific ESD or electrical performance requirements, we recommend checking the material's technical specifications and validating the finished part for its intended use.

Does PETG-ESD require a special nozzle?

A hardened or wear-resistant nozzle is recommended for PETG-ESD due to the additives used in the material. Following the recommended print settings will also help achieve the best results.
