Frequently Asked
Questions

How does Rainbow PLA filament change colour?

Rainbow PLA gradually transitions between colours along the length of the filament. With RAW3D Rainbow PLA, colour changes occur approximately every 8 metres, creating smooth gradients as the filament feeds through the printer during a print.

Why does my print only show one or two colours?

Smaller prints may only use a short section of filament, so they might only display part of the colour gradient. Larger prints - or printing multiple items in one job - allow more filament to be used, making the full rainbow transition more visible.

Is Rainbow PLA harder to print than regular PLA?

Not at all! Rainbow PLA typically prints just like standard PLA. It offers good bed adhesion, minimal warping, and consistent extrusion, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced users.

How can I get better rainbow colour transitions in my prints?

To achieve stronger colour variation, try printing larger models or multiple objects in a single print job. Using more filament in a print allows the colour gradient to progress further, producing more noticeable rainbow effects.
